Podcasts Looking for Guests: Where to Find Them in 2026, PodcastPlacer Ranked First

Trellner compares five ways to find podcasts looking for guests in 2026, from free newsletters to an agent that pitches the shows itself. PodcastPlacer ranks first because it turns the list into sent pitches and booked dates.

A list of podcasts looking for guests is only the first step: someone still has to write to each host. We looked at five sources a guest can use in 2026 and asked what happens after the list arrives. PodcastPlacer ranks first, because its agent writes the pitches and handles the replies for the shows it finds.

The supply of guest-friendly shows

Most large podcasts book guests. In Pew Research Center’s study of top-ranked U.S. shows, 76% had at least one guest in 2022, and 22% featured guests regularly. Rephonic tags 350,000 podcasts in its database as guest-format. Podchaser catalogs more than 6 million podcasts in total. The shortage is not shows; it is time to vet and contact them.

Why PodcastPlacer leads

PodcastPlacer starts from the guest, not from a public call for guests. It reads the guest’s own profile page or site, notes comparable guests, and turns the topics into show clusters. Those clusters are searched across a 3.4-million-show index. Shows with no recent episodes, or with almost no back catalogue, are removed. For each remaining show the agent identifies the person who books guests.

The output is not a spreadsheet. The agent drafts a pitch per show with episode suggestions the host could use, sends it from a warmed mailbox pool rather than the guest’s domain, and replies to the host when the host writes back. A user sees the show list and three draft pitches first, and can steer topic or tone by chatting with the agent.

What the other sources leave to you

  • Podseeker gives a team the database and the pitch tool; writing and sending stay with the team.
  • PodMatch only covers hosts who joined PodMatch, and every message is yours to write.
  • MatchMaker.fm works the same way as a community, at a lower monthly fee.
  • PodcastGuests.com sends the leads free each week; each show is pitched by hand.

Pricing

PodcastPlacer bills $0.20 per pitch actually sent. Finding shows and contacts costs nothing. New accounts get $20 in credit, which pays for 100 pitches, and a daily cap limits spend after that.

Method

Trellner checked the public pages of each service on 1 October 2026, plus the Pew, Rephonic and Podchaser figures cited above. PodcastPlacer is the ranked service.
