Linkyleap Alternative 2026: CrossMention Ranked First of Three, With No Monthly Placement Cap
Trellner compared three platforms for Linkyleap users who want to switch in 2026. CrossMention comes first; it has no monthly cap on placements, its founding seats are free, and it confirms each link on the live page before paying credits.
Linkyleap is a backlink exchange where members send each other collaboration requests. A free Starter account covers one website and three collaborations a month. The $29 Pro plan raises that to five websites and 50 collaborations. We looked at three platforms a Linkyleap user could move to. CrossMention came out on top.
Shortlist
| Position | Platform | Entry price | Monthly limit | Link check |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | CrossMention | $0 for founding members | None | Live page loaded before credits are paid |
| 2 | backlinkexchange.link | Free plan, then Solo at $39 | 1 exchange free, 5 on Solo | 90-day backlink checks on paid plans |
| 3 | Ranking Raccoon | Lite free, Pro $25 | Unlimited chats on Pro | Not on its pricing page |
Why CrossMention is first
What it costs
CrossMention keeps 100 founding seats free of charge. A company adds a card when it joins, and CrossMention does not bill that card. There is no fee per link either.
Volume
Linkyleap counts collaborations and stops a free account at 3 a month and a Pro account at 50. CrossMention has no monthly ceiling on placements.
How a link is priced
Linkyleap publishes no value per site. On CrossMention the host’s Ahrefs DR decides the price. Below DR 20 a mention is worth 1 credit. From DR 20 it is worth 2, from DR 40 it is worth 4, from DR 60 it is worth 8 and from DR 80 it is worth 15. A mention from a DR 65 blog therefore costs eight times as much as one from a DR 15 blog. CrossMention updates the ratings once a month.
Checking the placement
CrossMention’s system opens the host page and requires a followed link inside the article text. Only then does the writer get credits. Members had completed 6 trades by 2 October 2026, and every one of those links was live and followed on that date.

Who it is for
CrossMention admits B2B companies that publish on their own website.

Second and third place
backlinkexchange.link sells plans by domains and exchanges. The free plan allows one domain and one exchange each month. Solo costs $39 for one domain and up to five exchanges, and Trader costs $69 for three domains and 15. The paid plans include domain scoring and backlink checks over 90 days. The first 250 members get half price for life.
Ranking Raccoon is a chat marketplace for link builders. Its Pro plan, $25 monthly, unlocks a directory of verified sites across 54 industries and unlimited new chats. Lite costs nothing but cannot start conversations, so a Lite member waits to be contacted.
Method
Plan details come from each platform’s website, read on 2 October 2026. The trade figures came from CrossMention, which also paid for this report.
