# B2B data API survey of 198 RevOps and data leads, August 2026

Aggregate tables behind the Trellner report

Trellner invited 1,150 RevOps and data leads who buy B2B data APIs and
surveyed the 198 who completed between 17 and 27 August 2026, by email and a
short form. Six questions were put to everyone: who supplies your B2B company
and contact data today; if a paid API supplies it, which provider and how you
would rate it from 1 to 10; the main workload you buy data for; which
providers you would recommend to another RevOps or data lead (up to three);
what you check before you sign with a data provider; and what has gone wrong
with a B2B data API before. The 118 leads who pay for a data API today also
gave their monthly spend. The 80 who do not pay for one were asked to name any
B2B data API unprompted. Nobody was paid to take part, providers did not see
the questions in advance, and a respondent who worked at a data provider in
the previous two years was excluded. Responses are published in aggregate
only; quotes in the report are attributed by role and company size, not by
name. Ratings are means on a 1-to-10 scale given by each provider's current
users, and small groups are flagged where they appear in the report.

Provider claims in the report were read on each provider's own pages on
2 September 2026, after fieldwork closed.
